How the rankings work

Placements weigh late-game damage ceiling, team utility, control, economy, setup cost, and how reliably a unit fills its role. Supports and farm units are judged by team value rather than raw DPS. Balance updates, traits, equipment, and game mode can move a unit.

S

S Tier

Meta-defining

Late-game carries and hybrids with exceptional damage, utility, or both.

8th Sword (Berserk)

Full-AoE carry

Full-area damage and an exceptional documented ceiling after Berserk activates at 25 takedowns.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Map-specific placement guidance is still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Support and economy pairings are still being evaluated.

Shadow (Divine)

Summoner / support

Combines summon damage, enemy pushback, and a domain that strengthens Magical allies.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Domain coverage and lane positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Magical carry pairings are still being evaluated.

Cursed Student (True Love)

Bleed synergy

Copied follow-ups scale from a nearby ally while Bleed stacks create additional Spirit Bat pressure.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Ally proximity and lane positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Bleed enablers and copied-attack partners are still being evaluated.

Puppet (Telekinetic)

Amplifier / control

High damage shares a slot with amplification, summons, and enemy rewind utility.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Rewind coverage and lane positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Carry pairings that benefit most from amplification are still being evaluated.

Elf Mage (Unleashed)

Arcane / crit DPS

Arcane follow-ups scale unusually well with critical chance and critical damage investment.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Range and lane positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Critical and Arcane support pairings are still being evaluated.

Lady Giant (Envy)

DPS / walls

Giant form delivers top-end damage while rock follow-ups and defensive walls add practical value.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Wall coverage and transformation timing are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Control and economy pairings are still being evaluated.

A

A Tier

High-impact

Strong endgame choices that need the right setup or sit just below the highest ceiling.

Reaper (Released)

Crit DPS

Excellent permanent crit scaling and repositioning, but wants multiple placements and strong equipment.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Multi-placement spacing and repositioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Critical support and economy pairings are still being evaluated.

String Demon (Awakened)

Control / follow-up

Cocoon control and linked follow-up attacks make it valuable in both damage and support lineups.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Cocoon coverage and link positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Follow-up partners and damage carries are still being evaluated.

Crimson (Brother)

Mark / zone DPS

Delayed marks, explosions, and Crimson pools sustain useful pressure with a lower ceiling than S tier.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Pool coverage and lane positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Control and mark-synergy pairings are still being evaluated.

Toy Maker

Summoner

A-tier only with Unbound; its one-placement limit pushes it toward B or C without that trait.

Best trait: Unbound, because the current ranking explicitly depends on removing its one-placement limitation. Placement: [Researching] Summon pathing and lane positioning are still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Support and economy pairings are still being evaluated.

Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1)

Slow / stagger support

Slow plus a two-second Stagger window creates elite control for fast waves and boss damage windows.

Best trait: [Researching] Cross-referencing current community consensus before recommending a Trait. Placement: [Researching] Coverage for reliable Slow and Stagger timing is still being verified.

Pair with: [Researching] Burst carries that benefit from the Stagger window are still being evaluated.

B

B Tier

Strong specialists

Reliable role players that depend on team composition, map needs, or a specific damage condition.

Flame Emperor (Reincarnate)

Burn / DoT DPS

Spreads Burn and adds fire-wall damage, but does not match the solo ceiling of the top carries.

Hollow (Blaze)

Burn payoff

Useful damage when another unit maintains Burn; noticeably weaker without that setup.

Ice Queen

Freeze / finisher

Two-second Freeze and a low-health damage bonus offer dependable control and finishing power.

Greed

Boss DPS

Fox Hunt makes this an accessible boss specialist while broader wave damage remains less flexible.

Forbidden Teacher

Magical buffer

A strong aura choice when several Magical carries can remain inside its upgrade-scaled buff.

Ramen Guy

Farm / economy

Extra Yen from kills can accelerate long maps, though income breakpoints still need live-panel checks.

Scissor (Riyo)

Ramping DPS

Repeated hits build damage on one target, making it a practical and accessible sustained attacker.

Water Princess

Shield support

A regenerating debuff shield improves safe clears when protection matters more than another attacker.

The Hero

Physical buffer

Valuable in Physical-heavy squads that can keep multiple carries inside the aura.

C

C Tier

Progression tools

Useful early or situational units that are normally replaced as a specialized roster develops.

True Saint (Holy)

Starter DPS / mark

An accessible early carry whose damage falls behind evolved Mythic and Secret options.

Stone Alchemist

Farm / economy

Early economy can help on long maps, but the slot becomes harder to justify in faster modes.

Bounty Hunter

Early DPS

Affordable damage for progression while its full passive remains incompletely documented.

Ice Mage

Slow / control

Accessible early-wave slowing is useful until stronger control specialists enter the roster.

Demon Cyborg

Early DPS

A serviceable roster bridge with limited verified information about its complete passive.

Nen Hunter

Early DPS

Fills a damage slot during progression but offers less documented specialization than higher tiers.

Corps Captain

Early coverage

Temporary lane coverage that should be reassessed against the current in-game skill panel.

D

D Tier

Starter coverage

Low-cost beginner units intended to be replaced by role rather than rarity alone.

Curly Brow

Starter DPS

Cheap Beginner Path coverage with limited value once a dedicated damage option is available.

Kid Assassin

Starter DPS

An early damage filler while banner pity grows, not a long-term investment target.

Reishi Archer

Ranged coverage

Low-cost reach helps on beginner maps before stronger ranged specialists arrive.

Thunder Shinobi

Starter coverage

Budget lane coverage that is quickly outscaled by units with verified role utility.

Carrot

Starter DPS

Affordable first-step damage that should be replaced as soon as the squad gains a specialist.

Rubber Boy

Starter DPS

Usable early coverage, but lacks the damage or utility required for later progression.

Use with context

A tier list is a starting point, not an upgrade order.

Toy Maker depends heavily on Unbound, Hollow needs a reliable Burn source, and aura supports need matching carries inside their range. Confirm current stats, availability, traits, and equipment in the live game before spending scarce materials.
