Why This Tier List?
We track all 33 release units currently recorded for Anime Expeditions on Roblox. The point is not to turn a complicated roster into one magic letter grade. It is to help you understand which units solve the problems that matter in a real team: clearing late waves, controlling fast enemies, supporting a carry, improving your economy, or making a difficult setup more reliable. A unit can be excellent at one of those jobs without posting the highest raw damage number, so every role gets judged in context.
Unlike thin lists that repeat names without explaining the placements, our ranking uses six weighted criteria: late-game damage ceiling, team utility, crowd control, economy (deploy cost), setup requirements, and consistency across game modes. We compare carries against other carries, supports against the value they add to a full squad, and economy units against the point at which their investment pays back. That role-adjusted approach keeps a strong buffer or farm unit from being dismissed simply because its personal DPS is low.
We also separate confirmed information from advice that still needs research. When a Trait recommendation, placement rule, or pairing has not been supported well enough, the guide says so instead of filling the gap with a confident guess. Balance changes, equipment, Traits, map length, enemy resistances, and team composition can all move a unit up or down in practical value. Treat the letters as a planning shortcut, then read the role and rationale before spending rare materials.
The roster is reviewed when release information or meaningful balance changes are available. We check whether each unit still performs the job described, whether a setup dependency has changed, and whether the written rationale matches the visible ranking. The review date below comes from the same maintained tier-list entry used to build the full ranking page, so the homepage and tier list cannot silently show different roster totals.

Anime Expeditions changes as new units, systems, and balance adjustments arrive. We keep this homepage focused on the current decision points rather than pretending every possible guide is already finished. That means fewer pages today, but clearer sourcing, visible uncertainty, and a more dependable foundation for the unit database and progression guides that follow.
